Once again it’s almost time for the Chicago Auto Show, one of the largest car shows in the world which happens right in my backyard. There’s something special that happens every year to kick off the Auto show and that’s the First Look For Charity Gala. Lucky for me, I’ve been asked to attend again this year by the awesome folks who run the Chicago Auto Show.
This is my third time attending and it is a blast EVERY SINGLE YEAR!! I mean besides my sister, what woman doesn’t want to get dressed to the nines and attend a gala? But beyond the excitement of dressing up, there’s also the amazing food that local restaurants have donated. About a month ago, I was able to sample some of the tastes you’ll find at First Look For Charity next week. That’s right it’s next Friday, February 12th!! There’s still time to get tickets to the gala, you can purchase them here.
Buying a ticket, for which the proceeds go to a multitude of Chicago charities, also enters you into a drawing to win either a 2016 Lincoln MKX or a 2016 Jeep Renegade!! That alone is a reason to purchase a ticket to the gala. I mean where else can you support charities and possibly go home with a brand new car?!?! This is also the easiest way to support 18 local charities all in one night!
But I digress, let’s talk food. Like I said earlier, about a month ago I was able to try a bunch of bites that you’ll find on a plate at the First Look for Charity Gala. Everything from Garrett’s popcorn to Andy’s Frozen Custard to Real Urban Barbecue and I ate it all! Sprinkled throughout the post are photos of some of what you’ll find at the gala.
So what are you waiting for?!?! You’ve got a week to find a dress/rent a tux and possibly win a brand new car while supporting amazing charities in Chicago and noshing on some delish food and drinks. I’ll certainly be there!
