There are many eats that we don’t always find on our own. Franco’s Cucina is one of them. As our readers might already know, we tend to head towards the city rather than sticking to the suburbs. So, it’s not entirely our fault for missing out on this hidden gem for such a long time. Franco’s Cucina is located in Streamwood.
However, we did manage to drop by for Franco’s 20th year celebration! There was a hungry crowd that made it hard to decide what to eat. Luckily, we got a bunch of favorites from the staff! We definitely love a place that creates everything from scratch.
We had Franco’s Saturday specials which are Linguine Vesuvio, Baked Mostaccioli, and Eggplant Parmigiana. The portions are predetermined and our server had to assure us that bigger is better. Along with bread and roasted potatoes with peppers and we had to take home boxes of love. Everything was delicious and filled any craving we had for pasta and Italian food. The desserts were delectable with cannoli, cannoli cake and tiramisu! We always manage to save room for dessert for the sake of good manners! You have to taste everything! It’s not because we love baked goods it’s for the blog!
That is not to forget Franco’s famous cookies and CheeseSticks! We were loaded down with pastries! I can’t decide which flavor of CheeseStick was the best! Yet, I do know that those biscotti disappeared rather quickly. Possibly because there were only three of them…but mostly because our morning coffee tastes best with a cookie!
