HoneyBaked Hams-giving Turkey Breast

This is a sponsored post. I received a gift card from HoneyBaked Ham to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own.

There are many thoughts I have on the holidays.  I love the traditions and family gatherings.  The few number of days set aside that you know you’ll finally get to see everyone when we’re all grown up and busy with our own jobs.  Yet, as a food blogger sometimes I just want to take a break.  Thanksgiving can involve quite a lot of time in the kitchen.  If you’re hosting or cooking, you know that your time is limited.  Luckily, I can drop by my local Honey Baked Ham store in Rolling Meadows to pick up everything I need.

HoneyBaked Ham Store I want to cook from scratch because I know what I’m serving and how everything will turn out, yet there is an alternative.  For the busy cook that just needs a little extra help, why not try HoneyBaked Ham for Thanksgiving?  Ok, so you say Thanksgiving is turkey day, but we all know that giant turkey is generally the hold up.  The time it takes in the oven and when your family and guests are hungry you have to either resort to glares or giving into a partial meal when the bird is still not done.

HoneyBaked Hams-giving Ham However, with a HoneyBaked Ham you can know exactly how much time it takes. The best part about a ham is that you can still feed a large gathering and have an exact time to cook per pound.  Plus, you know that the ham is already pre-cooked so if you have a gathering hoarde of empty stomachs, then you can give them some and even pop it back into the oven.

HoneyBaked Hams-giving Turkey Signage Of course, if you are stickler for having turkey the day of Thanksgiving you can get a breast.  A few pounds of already seasoned meat, at HoneyBaked Ham they have oven-roasted and smoked turkey breasts available, and you can please everyone.  Pre-sliced it takes the work out of carving and you don’t need to worry about removing any extra parts.

A ham bone is a far cry from an entire turkey carcass.  The clean up and mess is nowhere near the same and your oven has even more time to make the rest of your meal.  Dinner will be easier than usual too as there is not longer fighting over dark or white meat.  Of course, you may have fighting over the outer slices.  I’m not pointing any fingers but some of us seem to think they are even better with all the glaze on the outside.  Either way, your family will still love their dinner and they won’t even know the difference when you join them outside of the kitchen for a change because you actually have time without having to baste the turkey and juggle oven space. So why not let Honey Baked Hams-Giving you more time to spend with your family during Thanksgiving?
