Ginger Pear Bundt Cake Olive Oils of Spain

Fall is a season which brings a peculiar light to our house.  No, not the kind of natural light but one of the artificial variety as finally the weather is chilled enough to allow for 24/7 oven access.  The light goes on and off depending on who happens to wander into the kitchen and peek at whatever is in there.

That fact doesn’t mean that you should consume as much as you want without some consequences.  I can only assume, you like me, are not invincible and capable of weight gain.  So, I’d suggest to not start drinking directly from the bottle of Olive Oils of Spain because then you won’t have any left over for the recipe.  However, you can definitely try out my recipe for a Ginger Pear Bundt Cake utilizing Olive Oils of Spain.  The one I picked bears fruity flavors which I thought were appropriate for a fruit cake.

Olive Oils of Spain Bundt Cake Olive Oil Pears are a fruit that are easy to bake with.  You’ve little prep work besides washing and slicing, and they’re not too sweet and will pair with my spicy ginger.

Olive Oils of Spain Grated Ginger Ginger, of course, is good for fending off illness and generally waking up your taste buds.  So, together they are a perfect fall flavor combination.  With the help of Olive Oils of Spain, I know that this recipe is one to have you considering a second slice.  For that decision, I suggest you consider how thin of a slice you feel like cutting because in my experience, it’s easier to just wing it.  Let’s be honest; that bundt cake is not going to last as long as you’d hoped.  Those extra slices might not make it onto your plate but someone else’s.  Are you willing to give up the fruity fall goodness?

Ginger Pear Bundt Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup oatmeal flour (I grind my whole oats fresh as needed in a coffee grinder)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oils From Spain
  • 3/4 teaspoons finely grated fresh ginger
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons good quality vanilla
  • 1/4 cup whisky
  • 1 1/3 cup diced bartlett pears, skin-on

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 10-cup bundt cake pan and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl whisk together all of the dry ingredients.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together all wet ingredients excluding pears.
  4. Slowly mix dry into wet until all ingredients are incorporated. Fold in diced pears.
  5. Scrape batter into the greased bundt pan and bake for 30 minutes or until golden. Use a toothpick to test for doneness.
  6. Cool in pan 10 minutes, remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
