Five local women will be honored this year for their brilliance in business. Lisa Madigan is the first female Illinois Attorney General currently serving her fourth term! Marilynn Gardner is the President and CEO of Navy Pier, Inc. and currently leading the Navy Pier redevelopment project, $115 million dollars to make the Chicago waterfront the destination in time for the 2016 Centennial! Dominique Jordan Turner is the President and CEO of Chicago Scholars which aims to help create the next group of leaders by providing ambitious students with the resources they need. Kathleen Henson is the Founder and CEO of Henson Consulting which creates lasting impressions for brands and companies while still making time to give back to her community. Dee Alexander is a song stylist with the great talent in music which allows her to provide part of our local culture through a wide range of genres with a focus on jazz!
There is a power hour to boost your jumpstart your network! A panel with leading women that will discuss how you can use technology to help your business from trends to startups. Plus new this year a GPS Pitch Engine competition where 5 aspiring entrepreneurs will pitch their business ideas!
All in all this day will filled with women who are gathered together to learn from each other and help each other succeed. There are some days at McCormick Place where you are not certain what you will experience, but with Women Driving Excellence you can expect a great networking event filled with women like you.
